Imagination and ambition are found in the development of the current Gerken Racing YXZ 1000. A ground-up-build conceived and largely fabricated by Jacob himself. Obsessive detail and constant preoccupation with the car’s construction ended with a one-of-kind podium-climber. So much that there are now “Gerken Rules” in place to temper his innovations.

The Covid year flattening of competition has detoured Jacob to a narrower focus on further testing and development of his car and skills. When next year’s schedule is released, his dates will be circled with cool confidence, fully prepared for success. 

Far beyond his years on the track and in the shop, his true complement is a dynamic and warm personality. When many close their mouths only to figure out their next words, Jacob listens to what is being said by others, and gives a damn.
